Good to know before you scan (scope, certification, FERPA)Show
- Scope: inventories image alt-text presence and tagged-PDF structure for manual review. Does not judge whether alt text is contextually correct.
- Decorative vs. content: decorative images (borders, spacers) don't need alt text. Content images (diagrams, charts) do. You can mark an image decorative in the results.
- Not a certification: not a WCAG, PDF/UA, ADA, or full human accessibility review.
- FERPA: documents may contain student-identifiable records. Do not upload FERPA-covered or sensitive data unless your institution has approved that use. Supported files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to CourseKit servers. Browser-first processing is not the same as institutional approval.
